Commercial and Government Accounts on Vulture

Last updated: October 27, 2026

We welcome any legitimate business, organization, or government to create an account on Vulture. Commercial accounts must clearly identify the business or organization they represent. Like all accounts on Vulture, commercial accounts are subject to manual approval by platform moderators before account creation is finalized. Moderators may review the information provided and take additional steps to verify the authenticity and legitimacy of the business.

Vulture reserves the right to reject account applications. If you believe your application was rejected in error, you may contact us by email and provide information or documentation supporting the legitimacy of your business. Rejected applications may be reconsidered following further review.

Businesses are welcome to promote their products and services, share advertisements, announce new products, and engage with customers on Vulture, provided their activity complies with our rules (which can be read in the Rulebook). Commercial posts must also follow the rules of the Community in which they are posted. If a Community prohibits advertising or other commercial content, that restriction must be respected.

Business may also be conducted through Chats, including private DMs. However, unsolicited promotional messages, advertisements, and sales pitches are prohibited. Businesses may still contact individuals for legitimate collaboration opportunities, such as reaching out to an artist or photographer about working together.

Businesses offering regulated products or services must maintain any licenses, permits, or other authorizations required by applicable law. Businesses that sell or promote alcoholic beverages, sexually explicit products, or sexual services are not permitted on Vulture.

Government Accounts

Government agencies, departments, and other official government entities are welcome on Vulture, but must complete additional verification before their accounts can be approved. Government entities must contact us by email before creating an account. Platform moderators will review the request and verify that the account is legitimately associated with the government entity it claims to represent. Approved government accounts receive a Verified badge automatically.

Government accounts may share public information, announcements, notices, and other official communications. Informational posts about government activities or public issues are not inherently political discussion. However, political advocacy, campaigning, and other political discussion remain subject to our rules around political discussion.

Verified Badge

Businesses and organizations may request a Verified badge displayed next to their account name. Verification is optional for commercial accounts, but recommended. Verified badges are assigned manually by platform moderators after reviewing the authenticity and legitimacy of an account. They help users identify accounts that genuinely represent the businesses, organizations, or government entities they claim to represent.

To request verification, contact us by email with information about your business or organization. Moderators may request additional documentation before approving the request. If approved, the verification checkmark will generally appear on your account within a few days.

All commercial and government accounts remain subject to Vulture's platform rules, our Terms of Service, and moderation decisions, regardless of verification status.
